Loki

In the Norse pantheon, Loki is a popular god. He’s the wizard, the god of mischief and deception. Fascinating not only because of his cunning, he is also a character of substance. As time went on, Loki’s mischief became increasingly malevolent when this wily god transformed into a murderer.

In this panel Loki is depicted as a raven, the trickster in Northwest Coast native cultures. His body is in "chip carving," a style found in Viking sculpture and jewelry. Around Loki’s neck is Jormundgand, one of his monstrous offspring, the wolf, Fenir and his daughter, Hel.
